Just in case you missed my News pregnant belly debut CLICK HERE and check out how to make yummy DIY strawberries.
If you know me at all then you know that I adore easy and cheesy ways to celebrate the lovey doveiest of all holidays. The problem is, that when God made this mold, he made it without an ounce of talent in the baking arena...or the following directions arena.
Basically, I'm a catastrophe waiting to happen in the kitchen, but I'm nothing if ambitious, so I donned my apron and tried out one of the newest twists on chocolate covered strawberries.
Because it's chocolate dipped strawberries for crying out loud...can one even screw that up ?
Luckily this time the answer is "no". So if I can do it you can too. All you need are a few simple ingredients:
-Strawberries (the bigger the better)
- Marshmallow Fluff
- Melting Chocolate ( I chose the microwaveable kind because again, I don't have the baking gene)
- Wax paper
First, you cut the stems off of the Strawberries, then cut them in half. Then, you'll cut a small V- shape out of the center of the two halves of the Berries. Dry them completely then spread your marshmallow fluff in the centers.
Place the Strawberries *MARSHMALLOW side up and dab on chocolate, smoothing with a knife and let cool.
After that side is cool, remove the toothpick and dabble Chocolate on the other side. This will be your "heart shaped front" so make this side look especially nice...unless your goal is to be a Pinterest "Nailed it" of course.
Let harden and decorate. Really let your creative juices fly. I'm talking red sprinkles, red hots the whole she bang. It is Valentine's day after all.
The hardest part is actually giving them away. In fact, this year I'll be my own Valentine. Don't worry my hubster totally understands.
